Jake The Snake Roberts/Big Boss Man Perler Bead

I have wanted to make this design for years. Like...years. I would see it when I would look up my own designs and see them being sold on ebay (which is why I add watermarks to large designs now). I don't sale my stuff. I end up giving them away to friends. This design was found on Pixelated Pop and has always been one of those legacy designs. When I first started making Perler bead designs I would hope that I could make something that good one day. Now I have. It seems that all their sites are inactive but you can still check it out.

The Evil Dead Ash Perler Bead

I made this Ash from The Evil Dead Perler bead design yesterday after finishing another large design I have not posted yet because I want to have it on canvas. This is one of those designs I saw a while ago and figured I couldn't make. The original design was mostly in blue and when I was about to start I knew I didn't have enough of that color so I decided to use more color. I like the way this came out. I had to add hair to the top of his head and extend the chainsaw. It ended up being about 20x20 in inches. I got this pattern from Man In The Book Creations. Shaun Of The Dead Perler Beads

I made this Shaun of the Dead in Perler form based off of designs made in sprites/pixels by Dušan Čežek. I had their designs for a Fifth Element/Evil Dead a few years back. I love the design because though it does not use much in moments you know exactly what it is and where it is from. Click here to check out their site.

Final Fantasy Black Mage Perler Bead

I did this Black Mage from Final Fantasy out of Perler beads based off of a design by Makibird-Stitching on DeviantArt. I changed some of the colors a bit but still like the way this came out.

Altered Beast Perler Bead

I did this Altered Beast in Perler bead the other day. I used a sprite from the regular ass Sega version which has less colors which I appreciated. I would like to make some of the bosses but, my god, they are massive. This is the first sprite I have made from this game which is weird considering all the other things that are far more obscure I've made.

Tyris Flare Golden Axe Perler Bead

I did this Tyris Flare from Golden Axe based off of a design made by 2DWillNeverDie.com. I saw this design over a year ago and just kinda thought I wouldn't be able to make it. Mostly based on certain colors used. I ended up replacing some and changing the sword because I just wanted it thicker. I love the way this came out. Had to do it in three pieces. Top, bottom, and then the sword.

Arya Stark Perler Bead

I finally got some new beads delivered yesterday and made this Arya Stark I had been planning on doing. I have been watching a lot of Game of Thrones recaps lately and she also happens to be my favorite character on the show. I have a top five and she is number one. To make this I took a image of her and turned it into a stencil. Then I took that stencil and turned it into pixels. Then I took those pixels, changed the colors into what I wanted and made it out of beads. It didn't not come out as big as I was afraid of it being. It is 16x11 and I was able to use a canvas that had something else on it. Just pulled that off and put her on. I like this. It's going on the wall with Hulk and John Wick.

And of course I am still adding a watermark since ebay doesn't stop dirtbags from stealing images from your site and pretending they made the design to sale it on their site.

More Plants And New Shelf

I got some more plants! My friend Koko gave me two new cuttings. A ripple jade (Crassula arborescens undulatifolia) that looks great. I have had jades before but not this kind and have not seen this kind before. I hope it gets healthy and bushy. She also gave me a whale fin snake plant (Sansevieria Masoniana). I have plenty of snake plants in different types but have not had this one before. I am sure I'll be okay taking care of it. If you kill a snake plant something is wrong with you. I also got a haworthia cooperi from Anawalt that I always just call a Kryptonite plant. I had one of these before and did not take care of it well. This was back in the bad draining and over-watering period of my plant care.

I also got some shelves from Anawalt and put them up yesterday. I bought the wrong sized screws so I took the ones that I had with my plant wall and switched them out. It worked. I placed my tomato plants up there so they get a lot of light during the day. They are growing great. I have one more shelf but will wait till I get more screws and figure out where I want to place it.

New Monstera And Moving Things Around

A couple of days ago I got a new plant. This is my Monstera Deliciosa aka Swish Cheese Plant. I got it at Trader Joe's. This is one of the weird plants I have wanted but never wanted to pay a bunch for. They had it for 15 bucks so I kinda had to get it. The next morning it was dripping and I found a site that explained what was going on. It is a process called guttation which I had never heard of. Click here to check that site out and learn something. Now while I am sitting here buying new plants I am also trying to get rid of others and move things around.

My place is not huge and I have close to 100 of them. I decided to take down two of my three Ikea shelves and get as many plants as I could on one shelf. The one in the kitchen no longer had plants so that was not a problem. The other one had a lot of cuttings I was propagating or just multiples. The creeping charlie got put into one pot instead of five. I used others to shade the plants that didn't like/need a lot of light.

New Plants And Crazy Dragon Fruit

I got some more plants! Yeah. I have over ninety now and am trying to figure out where to even display them at this point. I got a Xanadu Philodendron from Anawalt. That place is amazing for plants. I also got some tomato plants.

New My Pet Monster Perler Bead

I made a My Pet Monster in Perler form years ago. I thought it was a couple of years ago but it turns out it was six years ago. You can tell by the fact that I still had my old carpet and I was using quarters to show the size of things I made. I still don't have any white beads but managed to find two loose ones which was all I needed. I used an image from the cartoon, pixelated it, changed a lot of the colors, and got started.

I used the large peg board and put three pieces to complete this. The part on the right was two lines too big to fit on the board which is just silly. Make bigger boards. I was able to use a lot of colors I normally do not to make the nose and teeth. I have always had a lot of the clear yellow beads in a bucket and was glad to get rid of some. Here is the first version I made below.
