Kiefer Sutherland The Lost Boys Perler Bead

Made this design that I forgot I saved to make of Kiefer Sutherland's character David Powers from The Lost Boys. Took an image of him, pixelated it, and then got going. I reduced the amount of available colors to just three to give it a more stencil look. Came out just tall enough to fit on my peg board. I wanted to use gray, purple, and white but did not have enough of the purple I wanted. Ended up using two shades of gray.

Guardian Big Trouble In Little China Perler Bead

For a while I have wanted to make something from the movie Big Trouble In Little China. The problem was that when I remembered I wanted to I would be out of certain colors I needed. One day I thought of that ugly multi-eyed creature called a Guardian and found an image of it to pixelate. Then using Windows I colored in what I wanted and when I had the dark brown, light brown, tan, and sand Perler beads I got to working. This did not take that long to do but is big. I love the way it came out and will be putting it on a canvas. "What it sees, Lo Pan knows!"

Happy! The Unicorn Perler Bead

I must have lost my mind to make this. I loved the SyFy series Happy! and wanted to make a Perler bead version of it. I went online to see if anyone else had given it a shot and did not see any. Then I searched for some pixel/sprite versions. Nothing. So I ended up using a drawing from the comic book it is based off of, pixelating it myself, and then getting to work. The character on the show is a few inches tall which make the fact that this is just shy of 36 inches silly. Love the way it came out and ended up having to make it starting from the bottom in six parts total. Feet, body, head, ear and horn, another ear, and then the tail.

Decided that I should add the original drawing I got this from as well as the pixel image I made. I edited the colors in Windows Paint.

Moomin Perler Bead

My friend H. sent an image of a Moomin to me and I had no idea what it even was. I looked them up and found some sprite images online and made one based on that. These look weird.

Wood Block Pixel Link

Did this little Link from Zelda out of wood blocks. This was easier than the first one I made and I made less of a mess.

Wood Block Pixel Mario

This is my first time trying to make something out of wood. I used a basic Mario style sprite from Mario Bros. on NES and gave it a go. This is not a cheap hobbie and requires a lot of steps to get a finished version. I am not good at painting so having to paint parts of this was difficult. I got the bag off of Amazon for twenty something bucks and there are 500 in a bag. Took over 200 just for this design.

Minecraft Perler Beads

I did these Minecraft Perler beads last night because out of all the bead designs I have done I never made these. Never wanted to. But here they are. Just sitting there.

Captain America And The Avengers NES Perler Beads

I did these Perler beads from the NES game Captain America and the Avengers. I changed up some of the colors because they look super plain. I wanted to make the regular Red Skull but it uses too many black beads and it is funny to see him buff in just his draws.

The Crow Perler Bead

I did this Perler based on The Crow from a design found on Dounets Creations. I put it on one of these small canvas that I got a few weeks ago and have been planning on using.

I also did a Hello Kitty based off of a sprite.

Zelda Perler Wind Chines

I did this Perler wind chime featuring Link and some rupees. I plan on adding a few more little things from the game and hanging it up...or putting it under the bed.

Spiderman Large Perler Bead

I did this big Spiderman Perler based off of a design I found originally done in Lego style by Joe Monterosso. I had seen this a while back in cross stitch style but it was fuzzy so I did not wanna try and make it from that and then found this one in crystal clearness. I made this last night and thought that it would be bigger than it is. It is 22 1/2 inches high and 12 1/12 inches wide. I also changed the color of the webbing. It is a darker red in the original but I do not have that color. I tried white and it looked silly and then light gray which worked out.
