Forcing Myself To Draw 9
I keep talking about drawing again and I just don't and it makes no sense. Its a free hobby I can do anywhere. I drew Tabitha again because she is my "where are your skills at?" test. Inking was a little harder and getting my hands back to that level of steady. I still use the stippling technique for shading I learned when I was 11 from my art teacher Laurie Lombardi.

Forcing Myself To Draw 8
I was talking to this cute woman and one of us mentioned something about a grumpy goose and I said that I was gonna draw it so I did. He is a grumpy kid that doesn't want to go to school. Its weird. I dig it. I'm including the first inking and the finished version. Click here for previous Forcing Myself To Draw.

Forcing Myself To Draw 7
I drew a picture of Tabitha last week. Out of all the hobbies I have this is the one that tends to suffer because I do it so infrequently. Once I start it is complete pretty quickly. I just end up drawing the same characters over and over again and not creating any new ones.

Forcing Myself To Draw 6
On my lunch breaks at work I was reading books and decided that I should probably spend that time making something instead of consuming. I did these three drawings over the last week or so. I realized that I need to keep drawing so I can get better at it as well as make some new characters.

Forcing Myself To Draw 5
Out of all the hobbies I have like
writing, making songs, random painting, Perler bead making, using
Pixlr, and podcasting, drawing is the one I do the least of. I tend
to forget that it is something I used to do exclusively and it fell
to the wayside as the years went by. For weeks I have had my drawing
board near my bed in case I felt the urge to do something and last
night it hit me while listening to podcasts. This is Tabitha who
continues to be my barometer for drawing. With her I can see what has
changed with my art or what needs to be done better. There is an
artist Erra The Creator that does art that is cool as hell that
inspired me to draw something. A lot of her stuff is proof that you
do not need to cover art with shading or even faces sometimes for it
to look amazing.

Forcing Myself To Draw 4
I drew and finished this Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles weeks ago but left my sketchpad at work repeatedly. I wanted to add something else to this but decided to leave it alone because I was sick of looking at it.

Forcing Myself To Draw 3
I finished this drawing of Wormie a few days ago. I like this character but need to reboot his story.

Forcing Myself To Draw 2
I finished a drawing this morning of one of my favorite characters Tabitha. I wanna try drawing a comic book character tonight.

Forcing Myself To Draw 1
I am trying to make sure I keep drawing. I do not do it often so my style and skill level is not close to what it should be. This was fun to do especially since I got the ink pen that I needed.
