Green Arrow, Robin, Totoro Perler Beads

Made these last night. There are mistakes in both the Green Arrow and Robin which I usually catch but happens sometimes. I like the Totoro one and should probably actually watch the movie.

Fun With Pixlr (Photoshop) Part 4

Time for some more random things I made using Pixlr. Now, I have to explain what some of these are about. The ones with Nick Mundy I made because he is having problems getting his luggage from an airline. RelationChip came from an idea Kiyoshi and I had about a kid being hated by a robot that was bought for him. The rest are nonsense.

Altogether Now (mini Perler Beads)

Mortal Kombat Perler Beads

Based off a basic design I made some Mortal Kombat Perler beads. These were easy to do. There are a few characters missing because they looked weird or weren't interesting enough to make.

Birdman Perler Bead

Found an image of a Hanna-Barbera style Birdman and made it.

Baby Groot Perler Bead

I found a design for a Baby Groot image from Guardians of the Galaxy. As always, click on the image to enlarge it and make it yourself.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Perler Beads

Yesterday after my beads finally arrived (ordering from Joann's is a nightmare) I made this group of Guardians of the Galaxy Perler beads. I found a design online but changed them around n shape some and the colors to make them closer to the movie versions and not the comic book. As with all my images, if you wanna make these (I have never charged nor sold anything I make) just click to enlarge the image.

Fun With Pixlr (Photoshop) Part 3

Once again I have made some strange ass images using Pixlr. These are fun and getting easier to do so I'm gonna have to start finding ways to make them more difficult. Click here to check out my previous ones.

Fun With Pixlr (Photoshop) Part 2

Been playing around with more Pixlr photo stuff. This is fun and I've been trying to do more so that I can get better at it. Click here to check out the first batch. The crazy ones with The Rock or Predator are from my Twitter where Screen Junkies Nick Mundy made suggestions which started with the Miles Dyson one.

Creepy Handmade Clay Hands 2

So I made a couple more of those weird hands. When people ask me “Why hands?” I say “I don't know what I'm doing why are you asking me these questions?!”

Fun With Pixlr (Photoshop)

This is not Photoshop. I didn't pay hundreds of dollars for a program. For these I have used Pixlr which is a free site that has three settings. Beginner, awesome, and oh my lord I'll never use this one because its too professional. Over the last two months I have started using what is the History button and manipulating pictures for me and a couple of friends as gifts and jokes.

Creepy Handmade Clay Hands

Last week I went out to Blick's on Beverly and bought some clay. Now that I am done making Perler bead designs and haven't started knitting yet I wanted something new to do. I'd done some sculpting in high school but wouldn't say that I was good at it. I found this clay, Della Robbia, that comes in a 4 pound square for about $6.

I decided to make a small bear (not pictured) and then for whatever reason an alien hand. The one with three fingers. I liked the way it looked and then made another one. I thought I was done but then I decided to paint them. This is when things got weird.

3 O'Clock High Sequel Poster

This morning I made a poster for a movie 3 O'Clock High sequel that doesn't exist. I loved this movie when I was little. I used images from each of the actors later movies with an alley background. Making these posters is so fun and allows me to pretend that these movies will exist one day.

Flight Of The Navigator Sequel Posters

After seeing that art show at I Am 8 Bit I decided to make some posters for a sequel for Flight Of The Navigator. I made the star Tom Cruise. Now with this first one I thought it was awesome. I used an image from Jack Reacher. Made it simple and liked it.

Until I made the next one. I almost didn't post the first one after doing this. I included the little creature on his shoulder at the last second. I would see this movie. I used an image from Oblivion.

I Am 8 Bit Art Gallery: Sequels

Last night Cam took me to the I Am 8 Bit (2147 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026) art gallery. I had been there once before for a potato chip exhibition that was really fun. This time there was a show featuring posters, pictures, and art from movies that never had sequels. My favorite is the Batman one.

Here are pictures I took of the ones that I really liked. This inspired me to want to make one of my own which I will post later today when it is complete.
