A couple of months ago I saw a video
online about acrylic pouring. I watch so much random stuff that my
suggestions will just be like “Lets see if this weirdo likes this.”
Turns out I liked what I saw when I got a glimpse of acrylic pouring.
I watch a lot of videos using different techniques and styles. I
watched some where it looked cool then they added some spice and
ruined it. With these I tried the cup flipping, pouring dots, and
others just globbing it on and seeing what happened. In a couple I
thought it was ruined and then I just started moving it around. Since
it is wet and I added a few drops of silicone it spread easily and
colors underneath started to appear.
I am not huge into painting. I paint
the backgrounds on my Perler designs but they are usually solid or me
splashing and ruining my floor. With this I put them on my kitchen
counter with a trash bag underneath and transferred them to a piece
of cardboard to dry on top of a cup. I let them dry overnight and
sprayed them with acrylic. I got the paint on Amazon and Joann's. By
the way, Joann's sells these with everything already mixed together.
They also sell the cups in packs of four. I am not gonna sit here and
but a ton of sticks and plastic cups to just throw away. Why be
wasteful? I just wash things out as soon as I'm done. This is fun and
I plan on heading to the thrift store to find a painting to ruin with
my colors.
