Kennys Quest Perler Beads

I watched an episode of Being The Elite called Kenny's Quest (click here to check that out). It stars Kenny Omega and is done in the style of Undertale which I have done Perler designs for in the past. In this video he battles Hiroshi Tanahashi. I was gonna just make the Kenny design and then wanted to make him versus the large Tanahashi but realized I did not have enough black beads. I remembered that there is a smaller version at the start of the video and made that one instead. The way I got these designs is I paused the video, did a screen capture, and then blew it up in Paint. It was fuzzy and I worked with it as best as I could. I love the way these came out. I added the watermark stuff because people love to take my designs and never give credit going so far as to use my actual images to sale stuff on Etsy and such. Super not cool. Don't be that human.

Bart Simpson Perler Bead

I did this Bart Simpson Perler bead based off of a Lego using the same pattern. So glad that this was just wide enough to fit on the large peg board. I really like the way this weird thing came out.

Hollow Knight Perler Bead

I did this Hollow Knight Perler bead based off of a design by Alex Mauricio. Click here to check his stuff out.

ZX Spectrum Perler Beads

I found a new form of sprites online that are easy to make and fun. They are called ZX Spectrum and there is a site MobyGames that is full of the things. Most of them are in black and white or simple colors. This site also has pixels and sprites from hundreds of games to check out and make designs from. I did a Batman, Robocop, Wreck It Ralph by Jarrod Bentley, and Paperboy.

Secret Of Mana Perler Beads

I have made Secret Of Mana Perler beads before but I liked the game and love the designs so I randomly made some more.

3D Excitebike And Contra

I tried to make some more 3D style Perler beads with Excitebike and Contra. This shit is hard! I think because they are so tall they will just be wobbly and I'll have to use some thin sticks or something to keep them stable. I like the way they look but this is too much work for small results. I'll stick to frames and canvas.

Ash And Pikachu 3D Perler Beads

I did this Ash and Pikachu Perler beads based off of a design I found made originally by Nerdegory. Click here to check their stuff out. The design itself was not hard but trying to get it to stand up was. I should have made holes to just insert them into but I am stubborn and figured I'd find another way. I tried to remove the ironed beads. Fail. Tried to burn them out. Fail. Ended up using glue. Lots of glue. They are standing and drying right now and I'll get rubber cement or something later to make sure they stay put. This was the first 3D type design I've tried and I really like it. I'll try some more soon.

Gudetama And Voltorb Perler Beads

Did these Gudetama and Voltorb Perler beads last night for no reason based off of sprites/pixels.

Oogie Boogie, Star, And Deer Perler Beads

Made a bunch of random beads last night. Did Oogie Boogie from A Nightmare Before Christmas based on sprite found online. Also did a star from a Mario Bros. game. And finally did this deer. The name that appears most with the pattern is Maria Benedicte but I can't find any sites or links for her.

Blade Of Chaos Perler Bead

I made this huge Blade of Chaos from God of War based off of a pixel design made by PixelMazing on Youtube. I did not use the five or so shades of grey and stuck with two and white for the blade. This turned out to be 22 1/2 inches long. Now I need to figure out what the hell I am gonna do with it.

More Big Perler Coasters

Made these while watching a movie last night. Gave a couple to a friend that noted they were bigger than she thought. They are six inches I think.

Marge And Homer Simpson Perler Beads

I have a lot of yellow beads right now so I made this Perler of Marge and Homer Simpson from The Simpson's arcade game. I may do more but am now out of black beads. You'll see when I post images of a bunch of coasters I made tomorrow morning.

Bruce Lee And Kareem Abdul Jabbar Perler Beads

Did these little Bruce Lee and Kareem Abdul Jabbar Perler beads a few minutes ago. Very easy to make. Based off of pixel designs made by Vid Milis

Duck Hunt And Snoopy Perler Beads

I have made Duck Hunt in the past when I was new to do these and made it super flat and bad. So I decided to make a new one and outline it with black Perler beads. I plan on putting this on a canvas of some sort. This is based off of the NES sprites.

I also did this Snoopy and Woodstock based off of a grid pattern. Super easy to do and I did not have to worry about using the wrong colors since there are just three of them.

More Framed Perler Beads

I went to the thrift store and managed to get a bunch of frames for just eight bucks. I put the series of NES Mario Bros. into one canvas. I like it but I wanted to do three separate frames. This is me settling and I may change it at some point. I realized that I can paint lines straighter than I thought.

Animal Perler Beads

I did these little animals in Perler form from designs I found on Epicillustrate page. Click here to check their stuff out. It was originally done in pixel/sprite form and I wanted to see how they'd come out this way. I like these weird little things. Ooh, they live in L.A. We should hang out.

Super Ghouls And Ghosts Perler Beads

Did this Super Ghouls & Ghosts Perler beads this morning. What a nightmare SNES sprites are. You like blue? How about using four shades? ALmost every color has four shades to it. I plan on getting soe canvas sometime this week and putting some stuff on them that I have not completed yet. And then sticking them under the bed.

Finally used this canvas that I have painted over so many times and could not decide what to add to it. I decided to use a grass pattern, not exactly like the game version, and added the text as well. I like the way it all came together. Now under the bed with ya!

Galaga And Bionic Commando Perler Beads

I did this Perler bead of Galaga the other day. I have made Galaga designs so many times but had this canvas sitting around and decided to add something to it. I also spread some glitter on it which despite my best efforts made it got on my hands.

I also did a Bionic Commando for no reason.

Mario Bros And Spongebob Squarepants Perler Beads

I did this Mario Bros. Perler bead set a few days ago and the extras today. I plan on putting these on a canvas soon. These were fun to do and I am enjoying making these simple designs for now.

I also did this Spongebob Squarepants for no reason. It is like a little coaster or something based off of a game sprite.

Framed Kid Icarus Perler Bead And Punch Out

This was rough. The actual act of making Kid Icarus in Perler form was easy because it is from NES and those tend to only be hard if there are a lot of black beads. This was hard because putting the frame together stunk. It is one of those frames that has a backing held on with metal triangles that break if you stare at them too long so I decided to glue the back on. As it sat the glue started running into the frame and I had to decide if I would remove all of it and start again or wait and hope it dried clear.

Thankfully this morning it is almost totally dry and clear. I like the way this came out but making the mistakes I made (rushing to finish for no reason) taught me that this is not a contest. I am not making these for any reason other than the fact that I can.

Framed Castlevania Perler Beads

I made these Castlevania Perler beads last night and glued them to this frame I have had for a while. Know what? Finding glue is hard! I had to go to three places to find just regular Elmer's glue. I used these images from this huge horror book I used to pin down large bead designs as they cool to keep them from warping.

Link Perler Bead

I did this Perler bead design of Link based off of a pixel design by Kawaii Hannah. I found it on Pinterest and thankfully was just able to make out her name to credit her and find her site that you can visit by click her name above.

I did not think that this would turn out okay in bead form using so few colors but it did. I also added some white around the border to make it stand out a bit more. I added it to this canvas but have not glued it down yet because I am still not 100% sure I like the color.

New Plant Shelf And Ikea Complaints

I got some more plants from Lucy and I am happy about it. For the past few years I have been having plants, losing them to gnats, learning how to tend soil properly, and where to buy the right ones. I am done getting them from large places as I have done in the past. None of the plants I get from a large store live and don't even talk to me about getting one from Trader Joe's. Those things are like table decorations. Lucy is the only one I am getting plants from...or Camille who also gets hers from Lucy. Camille has a hell of a garden going now and next time I see her I'll take a picture so you can see. And also realize that I don't have nearly as many plants as I could have. When one has a lot of plants one has to display them.

I ordered a shelf (HENJE) from Ikea. I already had one that I got from Camille that she'd had for years and I love it. I finally broke down and decided to get one for my growing plant collection. So I order online and what do you know the shelf arrives in a couple of days. It was nuts. I get the package and something seems off. I can't quite put my finger on it until I open the box and realize that there are no posts. There are no damned posts! What I mean is that the box had the shelves, the little bar that goes in the back, instructions, and screws. No posts that, like, hold it all together.

Fantasy Zone And Canvased Perler Beads

I did a small little Perler from the game Fantasy Zone. This game was impossible to play. It was like being stuck in a rainbow of pain. I also put that Stupid Sexy Flanders on a canvas.

Cheddar Goblin From Mandy Perler Bead

I did a Perler bead version of the Cheddar Goblin from the awesomely insane movie Mandy. It took just a couple of hours but I made so many mistakes trying to be too careful while making it. I got the design from online but can not find out who originally made it since it is popping up on a lot of t-shirt sites and such.

Jackie Chan And Kung Fu Perler Beads

I did these Perler designs for the Jackie Chan video game and Kung Fu for NES. I plan on doing more with the Kung Fu ones.

Sorry To Bother You Perler Bead

I did this Perler bead design of the poster for Sorry To Bother You. I did the face first and then decided to do the logo. The logo came out all wobbly and warped but it still fits. I am waiting for the canvas to finish drying so I can slap it on and update this post.

Added a canvas. Took like three or four layers of paints to coat the canvas since it had a dark background on it already.

Centipede Perler Bead

I id this Perler bead of the Atari game Centipede. I have never made anything from this particular game because it looks so simple and I couldn't figure out how to make it interesting. I added a Press Start design that I got from PXLPrincess. Click here to check her stuff out and buy some things. I got the canvas from the thrift store for five bucks and just painted it black.

John Wick Perler Bead

This morning I made this big ass John Wick in Perler bead. Love the way it came out using just four colors. Took two pieces and put them together. Used an image from the poster, turned it to pixels, and went from there. In case you are wondering what site I use to make images to pixels it is Pixel-Stitch. Just pick whatever size you want and know that each square is a bead. The bigger the number the larger your design will be. You can also choose how many colors you wanna have.

Added a canvas this morning with some bullet holes I burned into the canvas with a butterknife.
