Been playing around with more Pixlr photo stuff. This is fun and I've been trying to do more so that I can get better at it. Click here to check out the first batch. So I made a couple more of those weird hands. When people ask me “Why hands?” I say “I don't know what I'm doing why are you asking me these questions?!” 

Fun With Pixlr (Photoshop)

This is not Photoshop. I didn't pay hundreds of dollars for a program. For these I have used Pixlr which is a free site that has three settings. Beginner, awesome, and oh my lord I'll never use this one because its too professional. Over the last two months I have started using what is the History button and manipulating pictures for me and a couple of friends as gifts and jokes.

Creepy Handmade Clay Hands

Last week I went out to Blick's on Beverly and bought some clay. Now that I am done making Perler bead designs and haven't started knitting yet I wanted something new to do. I'd done some sculpting in high school but wouldn't say that I was good at it. I found this clay, Della Robbia, that comes in a 4 pound square for about $6.

I decided to make a small bear (not pictured) and then for whatever reason an alien hand. The one with three fingers. I liked the way it looked and then made another one. I thought I was done but then I decided to paint them. This is when things got weird.

3 O'Clock High Sequel Poster

This morning I made a poster for a movie 3 O'Clock High sequel that doesn't exist. I loved this movie when I was little. I used images from each of the actors later movies with an alley background. Making these posters is so fun and allows me to pretend that these movies will exist one day.

Flight Of The Navigator Sequel Posters

After seeing that art show at I Am 8 Bit I decided to make some posters for a sequel for Flight Of The Navigator. I made the star Tom Cruise. Now with this first one I thought it was awesome. I used an image from Jack Reacher. Made it simple and liked it.

Until I made the next one. I almost didn't post the first one after doing this. I included the little creature on his shoulder at the last second. I would see this movie. I used an image from Oblivion.

I Am 8 Bit Art Gallery: Sequels

Last night Cam took me to the I Am 8 Bit (2147 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026) art gallery. I had been there once before for a potato chip exhibition that was really fun. This time there was a show featuring posters, pictures, and art from movies that never had sequels. My favorite is the Batman one.

Here are pictures I took of the ones that I really liked. This inspired me to want to make one of my own which I will post later today when it is complete.  

Patrick The Putrid Pumpkin: Part 3

October 17th 2014

The young one choked as she consumed my insides. I can feel myself collapsing from within and it brings me a sense of joy that only the truly damned could ever understand.

In two weeks time I shall be a former shell of myself. Darker in tone as well as spirit. But before I leave I will make sure that these people, my tormentors, will speak of me in hushed tones for generations to come. The eldest, a woman, sniffs me and gags.

I smile.

Patrick The Putrid Pumpkin: Part 2

The youngest one asked her mommy what the smell was. They checked the trash. They checked the dog. They even checked each other. But I know where it is coming from: me. Why? Because they bought me too early.

Two weeks. If they had waited two weeks everything would have been fine. They could have thrown me into the garbage the day after Halloween and I would have rotted away with glee. But they did not have such patience.

And neither shall I.

Patrick The Putrid Pumpkin: Part 1

October 5th 2014.

It's too early. They should have waited. They have no idea what I will become by the 31st. Maybe I will begin to mold. Perhaps...liquids. Yes, that's it. I want to drip all over their floors. They will search for the source not knowing that it is me. Look at the children smiling and laughing as they tap me. Their mother tells them that I am good because of the sound I make when struck. I wonder what sounds they will make when I strike back?

I am not bad by nature. They made me this way. I know what future awaits me. First they will remove the top of my head. Then they will remove all of my innards. Maybe they will take my insides and bake them with salt. Doesn't that sound delicious?

Doesn't it?!?!

Lastly, they will find their biggest, sharpest knife and plunge it into my face. My face! A smile that will never die will be carved. I know all this because I have been here before. And I shall be here again. And again. And...again.

Bob's Burgers Perler Beads

This is a design I made for a friend that sent me an image of. I haven't seen much of Bob's Burgers but will start checking it out soon. Folks seem to love it.
